Some high-res illustrations of my novel SoulSkin’s main character Blanche, and her father’s jester, the Fool:
RED - The Fool’s Warning The very first drawing I made of them, it exists in two versions. The usual red, and the gray one, accurate to the scene of the book. Unlike most, red is an extremely important color in their world, it belongs to someone, something, dangerous.
BLUE - Darkness Revealed Another illustration from a specific scene. Their outfits are loosely accurate, as Blanche’s dress is much more detailed in canon.
GOLD - The Insufferable Ally This is not per se a scene in the book, but it perfectly represents the premises of their relationship, he’s showing his support under layers of teasing, and she only sees mockery.
LILAC - Disturbed Peace Another one very representative of their relationship. They aren’t enemies to lovers, but they aren’t friends either, and while they have some sweeter interactions, most of them are simply chaotic.
GREEN - Rabid Desire Oh, to be torn between the desire to free yourself and refusing to leave someone behind.
PINK/BLUE - Her Smile I wrote those two scenes but took them off the book for now because they weren’t adding anything new. I might post them here once I’m sure I won’t include them in the novel.
