First and foremost, I wish you all a very happy new year, and welcome to all the new people who recently joined Peau d’âme’s (aka Soulskin) newsletter! I hope this year will be the one during which I’ll announce translation deals.

In the meantime:

• I wrote a bonus chapter for Peau d’âme that is available for free (in French and in English) on my Patreon. It’s a quick little thing done for fun, to celebrate the winter holidays, but I hope you’ll enjoy it nevertheless!

THE MASK OF THE FOOL

Peau d’Âme is a dark fantasy YA duology. Volume 1, Les Lilas du Roi, is due out on March 6 in France, published by Gulf stream éditeur.

The inspirations presented below for the character of the Fool come from distinct cultural traditions that 10 slides won’t allow me to contextualize properly. As a result, certain associations and transitions have been reduced to the bare essentials.
